Hannah Cochenour

CCC-SLP, MA
Speech Language-Pathologist

Hannah earned her Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and her Master’s degree from the University of Memphis. Originally from the small town of Bolivar, TN, she’s loved calling the “big city” of Memphis home for the past five years.

One of Hannah’s favorite parts of her job is getting to know each child and discovering the strategies and learning styles that suit them best. Building connections with others truly motivates and inspires her, and she enjoys the challenge of finding creative ways to help her clients connect more meaningfully with the world around them.

Hannah is particularly passionate about supporting children with phonological processes and collaborating with our amazing occupational therapists to meet each child’s sensory needs. This teamwork helps our clients focus, learn, and grow. She loves doing the detective work involved in supporting gestalt language processors on their communication journey. She has completed the Meaningful Speech Natural Language Acquisition course.

In Hannah’s spare time, she enjoys watching all kinds of movies, hiking, spending time outdoors, and attending weekly dinners with friends.

Certifications

NLA Trained Clinician | Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Certificate from the University of Memphis

"True connection with others is what motivates, energizes, and inspires me! I chose a career in communication sciences and disorders because I understand how vital communication support is in influencing a person's ability to learn, express themselves, and meet basic needs. Regardless of the challenges someone may face, I decided I wanted to be prepared to offer the right support and help individuals feel more connected to the world around them."
